"The skin is deeply connected to our hormones, digestion, lifestyle, stress levels, and the products we apply topically. This holistic perspective shapes everything I do today. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, I work to identify root causes and restore balance."

What is your educational background, and how have your education and experience influenced the treatments you specialize in today?

I trained as a biocosmetic skin therapist, also known as a holistic skin therapist, through an apprenticeship at Amazing Space, located within the prestigious Hotel d’Angleterre in Copenhagen. I have been part of the Amazing Space team for three years, and my journey into this profession began with my own long-standing struggles with skin concerns and acne.

My personal experience has given me a deep understanding of how challenging and vulnerable living with skin concerns can be, and of the profound impact that the right guidance and treatment can have—both physically and emotionally.

During my training, I learned to see the skin as part of a larger interconnected system. The skin is deeply interconnected with our hormones, digestion, lifestyle, stress levels, and the products we apply to it. That holistic perspective shapes everything I do today. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, I work to uncover the underlying causes and help restore balance.

What does a holistic treatment mean to you, and what does it involve in your work in practice? How do you ensure that your clients experience a truly holistic journey, where body, mind, and senses come together as one?

To me, a holistic treatment is about seeing and caring for the whole person, rather than focusing solely on the skin. It involves taking a moment to connect first and understand how my client is feeling that day. Is their nervous system in a state of alert? Are there any stressors, hormonal imbalances, or life circumstances that may be affecting the skin?

During the treatment itself, I focus both on improving the skin through targeted techniques and on calming the nervous system. My touch is calm, intentional, and present. The space, the atmosphere, and the energy are just as important as the products themselves.

I want my clients to feel as though time stands still. That body, mind, and senses are allowed to merge into one. When I notice the breath becoming deeper, the shoulders relaxing, and the tension leaving the face, I know we’ve arrived. It is in that space that the skin truly becomes receptive.

What defines your personal signature as a spa expert, and how does your approach differ most significantly from what is typically seen in the industry?

My signature is calm, presence, and authenticity. I don’t rely on quick fixes or aggressive treatments to create immediate results. I believe in sustainable skin improvement and that the skin thrives best when it is treated with respect.

What sets me apart most is my focus on the connection between inner well-being and outer appearance. I talk to my clients about hormones, nutrition, stress, and sleep – not in a preachy way, but as an invitation to understand their skin from a broader perspective. I want my clients to feel safe, seen and guided.

A treatment can be technically effective, but in your opinion, what is it that elevates it into something almost magical and truly memorable for the client?

It is the energy and intention behind the touch. A treatment becomes magical when the client feels completely safe and able to surrender. When they feel they are in the hands of someone who is both professionally skilled and able to hold them on a human level.

When a client leaves feeling lighter and happier than when they arrived—not only because their skin is glowing, but because their nervous system has found calm – then we have created something that goes beyond the visible.

Which ingredients and products resonate most strongly with you, and what do you prioritize when selecting products for your treatments?

I strongly resonate with clean, active, and balancing ingredients that work with the skin – not against it. I place great importance on products that support the skin’s natural functions and strengthen the barrier, rather than over-treating it. Ingredients that calm inflammation, balance sebum production, and support the microbiome are especially close to my heart – perhaps also because I have personally experienced how important it is to have balanced skin.

For me, it’s not about trends, but about integrity, evidence and intuition. I need to feel that the product aligns with my philosophy.

How do you guide your clients in their home care routine so that the effects of the treatment don’t stop when they leave the room, but instead become an integrated part of their everyday life?

I see home care as an extension of my hands. A treatment once a month can do a lot – but it is the small daily rituals that truly create change. When clients understand the connection between their skin condition and the products or habits I recommend, it doesn’t become a chore, but a conscious choice.

I always try to keep things clear and realistic. I prefer a few simple, effective steps that fit into a busy everyday life over a complicated program that isn’t sustainable. My goal is for clients to leave feeling calm in their nervous system, with glowing skin and practical knowledge to take with them.
