What is your educational background, and how have your education and experience influenced the treatments you specialize in today?
I hold a Professional Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Health, and I am also trained as a Holistic Skin Therapist and Face Yoga Instructor. My professional background has given me a deep understanding of the body’s underlying processes and imbalances, and how they manifest in the skin.
What does a holistic treatment mean to you, and what does it involve in your work in practice? How do you ensure that your clients experience a truly holistic journey, where body, mind, and senses come together as one?
To me, a holistic approach is essential when working with people and their skin. The body remembers everything, and the skin is simply a reflection of what is happening within. To me, a holistic treatment means that you, as a client, gain a deeper understanding of your skin and feel confident in the guidance you receive. To create the best possible overall experience, the treatment is further enhanced by soothing scents, grounding touch, and soft, ambient lighting. All of it is designed to ensure that you leave feeling calm, balanced, and at ease in both body and mind.
What defines your personal signature as a spa expert, and how does your approach differ most significantly from what is typically seen in the industry?
What characterizes me most as a spa therapist is probably my calm and natural approach to both the skin and the body. I will always do my best to identify the root cause of skin concerns rather than simply treating the symptoms with new products.
A treatment can be technically effective, but in your opinion, what is it that elevates it into something almost magical and truly memorable for the client?
The magic happens when the client allows themselves to fully surrender to the treatment. When they no longer have to be anything for anyone and instead allow both body and mind to completely switch off and relax. Those quiet moments when soothing scents, spa sounds, and massage techniques are given the space to work wonders for the nervous system.
Which ingredients and products resonate most strongly with you, and what do you prioritize when selecting products for your treatments?
Of course, it will always vary from person to person, but hyaluronic acid and niacinamide are two of my absolute favorites. Unfortunately, I see far too many people who over-treat their skin, and in those cases, restoring balance to the skin is essential. I therefore prefer to keep things simple and start with a streamlined routine focused on hydration and soothing, skin-supportive ingredients.
How do you guide your clients in their home care routine so that the effects of the treatment don’t stop when they leave the room, but instead become an integrated part of their everyday life?
I make sure my clients understand their skin and the underlying cause of their concerns, as this makes it much easier to appreciate the importance of a consistent at-home skincare routine. In addition, we build on their existing routines and introduce changes gradually, allowing new habits to become a natural and lasting part of their at-home skincare regimen.
